Zearfoss’ Nationals campaign ends in heartbreak; The Grove and Port Royal next with Eichelberger Racing

JONESTOWN, Pa. (August 11, 2025) – The “Jonestown Jet” did everything he could to drive himself into Saturday’s Knoxville Nationals A-Main, but unfortunately, his effort fell short, falling victim to Knoxville’s turn three and four cushion while battling for a transfer position in Saturday’s B-Main.

Zearfoss, who was driving his own Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, Milton Hershey School, Tech61, Berkebile Oil Company, Blue Mountain Wellness, No. 3Z sprinter, started eighth on the B-Main line up, slowly powering his way forward before making a move for a transfer position late in the 22-lapper. As mentioned, a hiccup on the cushion crushed all hope, forced to leave the raceway on “the hook.” Zearfoss was not injured. 

Zearfoss was in Saturday’s B-Main by way of “lock in.” The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native acquired enough points during Thursday’s preliminary program, third in his heat race and seventh in the A, to avoid Friday’s Hard Knox last chance qualifier. 

“So heartbreaking for this team…we were rolling,” Zearfoss was quick to note. “The car felt so good and I could race anywhere I wanted. In situations like that, you have to be aggressive, and I was racing as aggressively as I could. But, these things happen. Just disappointed for everyone on this team. They deserved to be in the A and we had the car to do it. We’ll shake it off and get back to work this weekend with Rich Eichelberger Racing.”

Brock Zearfoss will continue his 2025 campaign with starts at Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway on Friday and Saturday, August 15-16.
