Begins Friday at Williams Grove Speedway
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
JONESTOWN, Pa. (June 21, 2016) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss will have plenty to prepare for during the next three days, getting set to tackle the entire 2016 Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek schedule. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native will have to endure nine events in ten days, visiting seven facilities in two states. Zearfoss will begin his 2016 Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek campaign on Friday night, June 24, at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; the site of his first ever 410 sprint car victory.
“Our plan right now is to hit all of the speedweek shows,” explained Brock Zearfoss. “The first weekend and the second weekend won’t be an issue for us, it’s the shows during the week that may be tricky. Work schedules can make things tough for us, but we’ll do our best to hit every show. Should be a good week. Things have been rolling for us. I think we are ready to go.”
After opening night at Williams Grove Speedway, Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek will visit Lincoln Speedway (6/25), Path Valley Speedway (6/26), Grandview Speedway (6/28), Hagerstown Speedway (6/29), Port Royal Speedway (6/30 & 7/2), Williams Grove Speedway (7/1), and Selinsgrove Speedway (7/3). Each event will award at least $5,000, with an overall Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek point fund worth $16,000. The overall champion will be awarded $5,000.
Brock Zearfoss will enter speedweek with a pair of recent top-ten finishes in Central Pennsylvania. The pilot of the familiar Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Leach’s Automotive, No. 3Z finished tenth at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, June 17, followed by an eighth place performance at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, June 18. Zearfoss has one main event victory on the season.
“We did a little bit of testing last weekend at The Grove and Port Royal. Not sure it benefited us too much, but now we know,” explained Brock Zearfoss. “We are really starting to click as a team. That’s motivating for us. We’ll try to build some rhythm during the early portion of speedweek. We want another win.”
