Zearfoss Ready for Three Events During Labor Day Weekend
Earns Two Recent Top-Ten Finishes
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
Jonestown, PA (September 2, 2015) – After earning back-to-back top-ten finishes during the recent weekend, Brock Zearfoss will move ahead and set his sights on a trio of events in central Pennsylvania during Labor Day weekend. The “Jonestown Jet” intends to visit Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway during the holiday break, with action set to begin on Friday evening, September 4, at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg.
“We had a pretty solid weekend” explained Brock Zearfoss, “Earning top-ten finishes are great and we are proud of that, but we still need to work on a few things. We are trying to get better during the late stages of races. I think once we find a way to get comfortable during the last half of features, we’ll be in great shape. We’re getting closer…just takes time.”
Brock Zearfoss will activate his holiday weekend on Friday night, September 4, at Williams Grove Speedway during the 33rd annual “Jack Gunn Memorial.” The marquee program will award $6,000 to the main event winner, with a total purse nearing $30,000.
Zearfoss will regroup on Saturday evening before returning to competition on Sunday, September 6, back at the Williams Grove Speedway. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania native will enter the “Billy Kimmel Memorial” on Sunday night, chasing a career-first Williams Grove Speedway win, as well as the $3,800 payday. Zearfoss finished inside the top-ten during his last appearance at the historic half-mile oval on August 28, crossing under the flagstand 8th in the running order. The pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar and Grill, Central Builders Supply, Leach’s Automotive Service, Meckley’s Limestone, #3Z, “410” sprint car has been close at “The Grove” in 2015; finishing as high as third this season.
The upcoming Labor Day weekend will come to a close for Brock Zearfoss Racing on Monday, September 7, at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. Zearfoss will enter the 64th annual “Labor Day Classic” on Monday afternoon worth $4,000. The “Jet” finished sixth during his most recent “Speed Palace” visit on Saturday, August 29. Zearfoss led the first 14 laps of the main event before eventually fading due to tire wear.
“We have a lot of potential” said Brock Zearfoss, “I think we had a shot to win at Port Royal last Saturday, but I used up my tires too quickly. We have three big shows this weekend. We’re going to work as hard as we can to seal the deal.”
