JONESTOWN, Pa. (October 4, 2022) – Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws campaign with another visit to familiar territory, ready to invade the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” for a doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, October 7-8. Dubbed the Nittany Showdown, the two-day program will award a total winner’s share reaching $25,000 beginning with a $10,000-to-win preliminary on Friday, and a $15,000-to-win finale on Saturday. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native is certainly no stranger to the Juniata County Fairgrounds, as the World of Outlaws sophomore is a former track champion at the facility.
“We’re always excited for the opportunity to compete close to home, especially with so many of our fans and supporters based right here in Central Pennsylvania,” Zearfoss explained, driver of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, Berkebile Oil Company, X-1 Race Cars, K1 RaceGear, No. 3Z sprint car. “We’ve had the opportunity to work out of our own shop the last few weeks, so that’s given us the chance to better prepare for the last segment of our season.”
Zearfoss, who will enter the weekend with one World of Outlaws victory on the season, that of which occurring at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, will head to Port Royal fresh off of a World of Outlaws appearance at Williams Grove Speedway. The “Jonestown Jet” went on to finish 22nd in the weather-shortened National Open preliminary; the finale was eventually postponed due to Mother Nature.
