Jonestown, PA (April 1st, 2015) – The 2015 season is officially underway for Jonestown, Pennsylvania native Brock Zearfoss. Zearfoss, pilot of the Mooses LZ Bar and Grill, Central Builders Supply, Leach’s Automotive Service, no. 3Z ‘410’ sprinter, made his 2015 sprint car debut at the Williams Grove Speedway season opener on Friday night, March 27th. The ‘Jonestown Jet’ would finish fifth during his respective heat race, eventually rallying to a twelfth place performance during the $3,600-to-win, 25-lap main event after starting on the inside of row number eight. Despite finishing just shy of a top-ten finish, Zearfoss was satisfied with his performance and looks forward to another busy weekend in central Pennsylvania. There were 23 ‘410’ sprint cars signed in for competition at the world famous half-mile oval on March 27th. Danny Dietrich was the main event winner.
“We were pretty satisfied with how things went at Williams Grove last Friday” said Zearfoss, “The track was pretty tricky…didn’t really expect it to be that hard and take rubber like it did, but things went ‘OK’ and we learned some things…the first night out usually has its bumps and issues but everything went pretty smooth…the racing up front looked like it was pretty exciting and I’m sure the fans enjoyed it…we’ll move ahead and get ready for this Friday and Saturday at Williams Grove and Port Royal…I can’t thank my sponsors enough for what they do for this team…we have a ton of great supporters…they keep us on track.”
Brock Zearfoss will return to the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania this Friday evening, April 3rd. A regular program is on the Friday night event schedule. The ‘Jonestown Jet’ will make his way to the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania for their season opener on Saturday night, April 4th. The ‘410’ sprints will race for a $3,600 top prize at the Port Royal lid lifter.
