Atomic and Millstream Next for “Jonestown Jet”
“I am really excited for this opportunity” said Brock Zearfoss, “I love being able to travel. We haven’t had an opportunity to do that much this season. Work commitments during the week keeps us from racing outside of the central PA circuit. Plans worked to our advantage this week so we are going to jump on this opportunity and head out to Ohio with the All Stars. I’ve never been to either one of these tracks we are visiting, but we’ve been talking to some people to get an idea on what we need. This is a chance for us to gain more exposure as a team and a chance for me to become a better racer. Hopefully we are close right out of the trailer and earn some solid finishes.”
After a Saturday night visit to Atomic Speedway, Brock Zearfoss Racing will travel north to Findlay and rejoin the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions at the Millstream Speedway on Sunday evening, September 27. Zearfoss will enter the weekend with one top-five and three top-ten finishes against the regional travelers in 2015; all in central Pennsylvania. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania native recently earned a third place finish against the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions back on Friday, September 11, at Port Royal Speedway during “Night Before The Tuscarora 50” competition; a career-high performance against the Tony Stewart owned series.
Brock Zearfoss made his most recent 410 sprint car start on Saturday, September 19, at the Selinsgrove Speedway near Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. Zearfoss joined the “Pennsylvania Posse” for the Jim Nace Memorial/33rd annual National Open awarding $10,000. After setting the fastest time of the night during qualifying time trials, the “Jonestown Jet” would go on to finish sixth during main event competition.
“We had a pretty good run at Selinsgrove” said Zearfoss, “Set quick time which was a great way to start the evening. Didn’t have the start we needed in the heat race and fell back to sixth, which put us on the fourth row for the feature. To finish sixth with that level of competition is always special. I’m proud of my team. They always stick with it no matter the outcome. We have some new challenges this weekend so we’ll work as hard as we can to get our car near the front.”
