Zearfoss Still Learning; Eleventh During Susquehanna 410 Opener

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (April 11, 2016) – Brock Zearfoss put himself in a position to contend for a victory on Sunday night at Susquehanna Speedway; drawing a “3” during the feature redraw, placing the Jonestown, Pa., native on the inside of row number two for the start of the 25-lap feature program. Unfortunately, a missed setup would get the best of the “Jonestown Jet,” falling to 11th at the final checkers. Zearfoss kicked-off the April 10 program with a third place finish during heat race competition, ultimately setting up his spot in the feature redraw.

“We had a great car all night, there is no doubt about that,” said Brock Zearfoss. “We just flat out missed our gearing. We were able to get going toward the end once the fuel started to burn off, but at that point, it was already too late. My guys always work hard and do their best to give me a great race car. This simple mistake hurt us a little bit, but we’ll bounce back and try again next weekend. We are still learning. Unfortunately, you learn more after making mistakes.”

Brock Zearfoss, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Leach’s Automotive, No.3Z, will return to competition this Friday and Saturday with another pair of routine visits in Central Pennsylvania. The “Jonestown Jet” will visit Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg on Friday evening, April 15, followed by a visit to the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” in Port Royal on Saturday, April 16. Zearfoss has earned top-ten performances at each of the well-known half-miles in 2016, finishing a season high fourth at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, April 1.

“We’re always anxious to get back to the track,” said Brock Zearfoss. “We are determined to get that first 410 win. We’ve been close so many times and that makes our determination stronger. We work hard to better our position every time we are on the track.”
