SHREVE, Ohio (May 20, 2019) – For Trevor Baker, starting 11th is not such a bad thing, especially if he is consistently ending his evenings with top-ten performances.
Baker, driver of the T-Rev Performance/Baker’s Mobile Home Transport/Exodus Cycle/Coblentz Trucking/No. 45 sprint car, did just that on Saturday night at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, this time advancing a trio of spots to secure an eighth place finish after starting 11th on the grid. It was a second consecutive weekend ending with a top-ten result for the Shreve, Ohio-native, now looking ahead with hopes of utilizing his positive momentum during All Star Circuit of Champions competition.
T-Rev Performance launched their night at Sharon Speedway with an impressive rebound from eighth to finish third during heat race action; Baker was forced to start eighth after arriving late to the staging lane.
“That was fun. I think we were a little better than eighth, but we’ll take this and move forward,” Trevor Baker said, who rallied from 11th to finish fourth at Wayne County Speedway one weekend prior. “We have been taking things week by week with nothing set in stone for any particular weekend. I think that approach has been playing a positive effect on our race team; no pressure and no commitments. We are having a lot of fun right now.”
Up next on his tentative schedule, Trevor Baker and T-Rev Performance will join the All Star Circuit of Champions for a pair of starts in the Buckeye State, first visiting Attica Raceway Park on Friday night, May 24, followed by a visit to the nearby Wayne County Speedway on Saturday, May 25. Baker will enter the weekend with four top-ten finishes to his credit thus far in 2019, highlighting all starts with the aforementioned top-five at Wayne County Speedway on May 11.
