Danny Holtgraver Ends Season as Twin State Auto Racing Club ‘Driver of the Year’

Pittsburgh, PA (11/7/2012) – Team Fully Injected hotshoe Danny Holtgraver had a career season in 2012; earning nine (9) victories during ‘410’ sprint car competition across Pennsylvania and Ohio, which included three (3) wins with the national touring All-Star Circuit of Champions. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native tallied just over twenty (20) top five finishes during his remarkable 2012 season; racing against non All-Star and All-Star competition in six (6) different states including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Florida, and North Carolina. The Kargo Quality Cars & Trucks/Alternative Power Sources/Westview Motors/FullyInjected.com ‘D4’ team celebrated wins at Lernerville Speedway, Mercer Raceway Park, Attica Raceway Park, Wayne County Speedway, and Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway this season; with Attica Raceway Park and Wayne County Speedway being career firsts.
“We had a great year together…on and off the road” said Holtgraver about his D4 operation, “We won some races and finally got that first All-Star win this year…just feels great because everything fell into place for us…we worked well together as a team…I just can’t thank everybody involved with this D4 team enough…without the help from my sponsors, product sponsors, and my dad, I wouldn’t be where I am today!”
Holtgraver would spend much of his 2012 season on the road with the All-Star Circuit of Champions. The ‘D4’ team, lead by Crew Chief Brian Kemenah, would travel the entire ‘Ohio Region’ portion of the All-Star Circuit of Champions schedule, while also hitting and missing other events on the ‘National’ portion of the All-Star tour. The 2010 Lernerville Speedway champion ended his 2012 All-Star ‘Ohio Region’ campaign third in the final standings, and 8th in the All-Star ‘National’ standings. The three victory lane appearances for Danny Holtgraver Motorsports during All-Star Circuit of Champions competition would all be worth $5,000. The All-Star victory at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio would come first for the Pittsburgh based operation. The win came during Ohio Sprint Speedweek, and acted not only as Holtgraver’s first career All-Star win, but also his career first Attica Raceway Park victory.
“It was another great All-Star season…we love racing the ‘Ohio Region’ schedule” explained Holtgraver, “The three wins helped us so much and gave us a great boost of confidence…racing against top-notch competition like the All-Stars is one thing, but earning a win with them is an entirely different feeling…I just really can’t thank all of my sponsors enough…I have a lot of people who back me and who are behind me 100%…I couldn’t have done any of this without them!”
Other accomplishments during the 2012 season include earning the Twin State Auto Racing Club’s ‘Driver of the Year’ award, and earning the Cavalcade Points championship. The ‘D4’ team had nearly 60 starts in 2012; including appearances at the 2012 Goodyear Knoxville Nationals, PEAK Motor Oil World Finals, and the Bubba Raceway Park ‘All-Star’ speedweeks event.
As far as next year is concerned, nothing is yet set in stone. The Danny Holtgraver Motorsports team plans to make an announcement for next year’s plans sometime around the first of the year. Big things are in the works, but nothing is ‘for certain.’
“Things for next year are starting to come together…we are just waiting to make sure everything is official before we release any plans” said Holtgraver about the 2013 season, “We have some things lined up…some really good things…but for now, we are just going to relax for a little while and reflect on 2012…I just want to thank everybody who was involved…it was a great season.”
