With Western Pennsylvania only offering sprint car competition at two venues on a weekly basis (Lernerville Speedway on Fridays – and Mercer Raceway Park on Saturdays), Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway has stepped in and scheduled four shows for the 410 sprinters in 2012, allowing for more seat time, more exposure, and ultimately, more income, for these Western Pennsylvania 410 teams. The monster half-mile oval near Imperial, Pennsylvania gives sprint car drivers an opportunity to race on one of the fastest dirt ovals in the country; giving the fans a true short track thrill ride.

“The Winged Super Sprints will make four visits to “Dirt’s Monster Half Mile.” The Flight of the Phoenix event on Sunday, July 1st will provide the “Winged Warriors” with their first opportunity to compete at the Imperial, PA oval in 2012. The division will also return on Saturday, August 18th as part of the Red Miley Rumble and of course they will also be a part of the 24th Annual Tri-Star Pittsburgher (September 15th) and the Monster Mania season final.”
