In short track racing, there is no ‘off-season.’ The winter months of December, January, and February may bring swarms of cold air and snowy conditions, but that doesn’t stop the necessary race team ‘chores’ from being completed. Two specific ‘Fully Injected Late Model Division’ teams have been hard at work so far this winter; rebuilding and regrouping for the long road that awaits ahead. While race fans may switch their focus to professional sports and winter time hobbies, these two race teams must stay on track and stay focused; for they will need to spend the rest of their ‘off-season’s’ vigorously working so that they are prepared to compete and win in 2012.

Western Pennsylvania natives, Jared Miley and Gregg Satterlee, each have represented Fully Injected at a high level in 2011; and will look to further that reputation into the future. Each driver plans to follow similar race schedules as last season; hitting many ‘big money’ shows in the northeast region of the country, while also visiting venues close to home.

Gregg Satterlee continues to prepare his plan of attack for 2012. The Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway ‘UFO’ winner last season plans to spend a little more time ‘on the road’ this summer – hitting and missing shows with the World of Outlaws and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

“Nothing in stone yet…” explained Gregg Satterlee when discussing next year. “We are starting to get a schedule together now and it will be similar to last season. I hope to hit the road a little more…but still figuring things out.”

Satterlee plans to have a schedule built by the first of the year.

Jared Miley Racing, which ended last season 3rd in the final UFO Race Championship standings,  hopes to add a trip ‘north of the border’ to their very busy upcoming summer schedule. The South Park, Pennsylvania operation plans to follow the World of Outlaws Late Model Series on a trip to Canada this year; which is slated to take shape over July 22/23 weekend.

“We will do a similar deal as last year…” explained Matt Miley – Crew Chief of the Jared Miley piloted H1. “We are definitely looking into the Outlaw (World of Outlaws Late Model Series) swing in Canada, too!”

Just like in 2011, the team will focus on bigger paying regional events; including those sanctioned by UFO, World of Outlaws, All-Star Late Model Series, ULMS, and Three-State Flyers. The team does plan to debut a brand new Cornett ’13 degree’ engine when the season kicks-off this spring.
