“The Jet” Earns Win #1, Ready for Dog Hollow and P.P.M.S.

PITTSBURGH (May 12, 2016) – South Park’s own Jared Miley earned his first super late model victory of the 2016 season on Saturday afternoon, May 7, conquering main event action at the Marion Center Speedway in Marion Center, Pennsylvania. Miley, pilot of the Jared Miley Racing, Jay’s Auto Wrecking, Sprague Farm & Brew Works, Keystone Alliance Insurance Services,LLC of Spring City, Maloney’s Classic Cars of Meadville, Junior’s Cores & Recycling, Colussy Chevrolet, No. H1, will now attempt to transfer that winning momentum into the upcoming weekend, set to visit Dog Hollow Speedway and Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Friday and Saturday, May 13-14.
“Feels good to get that first victory,” said Jared Miley. “It always feels like the first one is the hardest to get, but now we have a little bit of positive momentum on our side. We’ll work to keep that going this weekend.”
Jared Miley will activate the upcoming weekend on Friday evening, May 13, with a full, super late model program at Dog Hollow Speedway near Strongstown, Pennsylvania. Miley earned three victories at the Indiana County oval in 2015, picking up wins during super late model and crate late model competition.
Action will resume on Saturday evening, May 14, at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania. The UFo Championship super late models will be on hand at “Dirt’s Monster Half-Mile,” hosting the annual Herb Scott Memorial. 35 laps of super late model feature action will headline the Herb Scott program, awarding $3,053 to the winner. Jared Miley is the defending champion, his lone victory of the 2015 season at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.
“We’ve been successful at both tracks we are visiting this weekend,” said Jared Miley. “That helps keep us motivated during the week. It also helps us come up with a solid game plan for the weekend. Luckily, they are both pretty close to our shop, so we’ll be able to come home on Friday night and work before going to Pittsburgh. I can’t thank my sponsors enough for this opportunity.
