Danny Holtgraver is Ready to Return Home with the Arctic Cat All Stars;
Lernerville and Mercer On Deck

PITTSBURGH (May 12, 2016) – For the first time in 2016, Western Pennsylvania’s own Danny Holtgraver will have the opportunity to race on home dirt. The Pittsburgh native will follow the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions trail to two different Western Pennsylvania ovals during the upcoming weekend, the source of his motorsports background and the beginning of his successes. Despite his commitment to the road during the last four seasons, Holtgraver has never lost grasp of his roots, always looking forward to his return to Western Pennsylvania.
“I think i’ve been looking forward to this since last season,” said Danny Holtgraver. “Having the chance to race close to home, in front of all of your family and friends, is really special. It’s nice to catch up with everyone at the tracks and reconnect with people you haven’t seen. Hopefully we can reconnect with the racing surfaces just as easy and bring a win home for everyone.”
Danny Holtgraver, pilot of Pete Grove’s Premier Motorsports, Linc Systems, Olympic Forest Products, Lutes Custom Cabinetry, Premier Pallet, Bonnell’s Rod Shop, Alternative Power Sources, Westview Motors, DKW Transport, No. 70, will join the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania, on Friday evening, May 13. The former Lernerville Speedway track champion is also a former All Star main event winner at “The Action Track,” earning a $5,000 payday on August 31, 2012.
Holtgraver and the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will continue their tour through Western Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, May 14, at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. Like Lernerville Speedway, Mercer Raceway Park will highlight all competition with a $5,000-to-win main event, the first and only appearance by the regional travelers in 2016. Holtgraver, a nine-time winner during Arctic Cat All Star competition during the course of his young career, is a two-time All Star main event winner at Mercer Raceway Park, capturing both victories in 2013; the same season he went unbeaten, in six total starts, at the Mercer oval.
Despite the success and statistics, Danny Holtgraver will enter the weekend unrattled; focused on the task at hand and not concerned with the pressures of winning on “home dirt.”
“I don’t really feel any pressure heading into the weekend,” explained Holtgraver. “Sure, we may have a little bit of an advantage in some respect, but we really haven’t made too many starts at these tracks the last few years. We want to win and that is always the goal, but we won’t let racing at ‘home’ become a distraction. People may expect you to win, but this tour is tough. We race with a lot of talent each and every weekend, and the guys that race in Western Pennsylvania are competitive as well. We’ll do our best to get to victory lane.”
The Premier Motorsports entry will enter the Western Pennsylvania swing currently ninth in the Arctic Cat All Star standings, on the strength of one top-five and two top-ten finishes.
