410 Sprints Return To Williams Grove This Week, Six Point Races Remain For Hodnett
ARDC Midgets on September 14 card

Mechanicsburg –After a week off, the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint cars return to Williams Grove Speedway this Friday, September 14 at 7:30 pm.

Joining the sprint cars on the program will be a rare Williams Grove appearance by the ARDC wingless midgets.

The Williams Grove season is now racing toward the checkered flag, with a total of just six point races remaining on the 2012 schedule including the September 14 show.

The final points races of the season will be held on Champions Night on October 12.

Thomasville’s Greg Hodnett has a 525-point lead in his quest to be track champion this season over pursuer Danny Dietrich.

If he records the title, it will be the second of Hodnett’s career at the track however it would be a first for car owner John Trone.

Perhaps the biggest remaining obstacle standing between Hodnett and the 2012 laurels is the upcoming two-day, World of Outlaws National Open at Williams Grove on September 28 and 29.

Both outlaws open events will award full points as is customary during the outlaws stands at the track and it is these end-of-season Grove outlaws shows that often times put drivers over the top or slaps them down in their bid for the seasonal track crown.

Hodnett has four wins at the oval to date this season.

The 2012 Diamond Series will conclude at the track on September 21 with outlaws tune-up night.

Hodnett currently leads the Diamond Series point standings by just 25 markers over Daryn Pittman.
