PITTSBURGH, PA — The Seventh Annual Red Miley Rumble saw new faces in Victory Lane as Rochester Mills, PA Super Late Model competitor scored a convincing win in the evening’s 53-lap ULMS sanctioned headliner. Carl Bowser broke Ed Lynch, Jr.’s lock on the Winged Super Sprint portion of the event as the “Boggsville Bullet” was the victory in the companion 20 lap feature event. Other winners included Nico Dabecco, who scored his first win in the Precise Racing Products RUSH Pro-Late Models. Repeat winners included Bill Robertson (Sunoco Race Fuels Late Model Sportsman) Chase Evans (Miley BP Carwash Hobby Stocks) and Roman O’Neill (Imperial Heights Garage Young Guns).

The 53 lap ULMS sanctioned Diehl of Robinson Super Late Model Red Miley Rumble saw Alex Ferree and Lynn Geisler lead the field to the green flag. Unfortunately the caution would wave with just one lap completed as Kari Gasser spun in turn two. Just as the caution flew for Gasser Austin Hubbard struck the tires at the pit entrance in turn three. Hubbard’s car sustained heavy damage in the accident and was done for the evening. Ferree jumped back into the lead when the action resumed and led the next 14 circuits before Keith Barbara grabbed the lead. By lap 20 Ferree had faded to seventh as his motor had soured and Gregg Satterlee, Geisler, Jared Miley and Brandon Burgoon were battling for the second through fifth positions. Satterlee wrestled the lead away from Barbara on the next circuit and immediately began to place some distance between himself and the rest of the field. The event’s final caution waved on lap 41 when Jim Rasey had a wheel come off of his car. The final 12 laps found Satterlee with a comfortable lead while Boom Briggs, Geisler, Mason Zeigler, Michael Norris and Jon Henry battling for positions two through six. Satterlee scored a popular win in the Satterlee Petroleum Distributors/East American Motorsports sponsored Rocket Chassis over Briggs, Geisler, Zeigler and Norris. Henry finished in the sixth spot with Jared Miley, Michael Davis, Ben Miley and Ferree rounding out the top ten.

Steve Baker, Norris and Ferree were the winners of the ULMS heat race events. Derek Stefanick claimed the Awesome Signs and Graphics Hard Charger Award as he advanced 14 spots in the A-Main.

The “Winged Warriors” of the Super Sprint Division made their only appearance of 2013 at “Dirt’s Monster Half Mile” and the “Boggsville Bullet” Carl Bowser took home the victory in the 20 lap main event. Jim Shuster and Bowser led the field to the green with Bowser leading the pack followed by Jack Sodeman, Jr., Mike Lutz, Daryl Stimeling, Andy McKisson and Ed Lynch, Jr. Brent Matus slowed in turn four on lap seven causing the caution flag to wave. When the racing action resumed Bowser pulled away from the field and went on to score the victory over Sodeman, Jr., Lutz, Lynch, Jr. and McKisson,

Sodeman, Jr. and Lutz were victorious in the Super Sprint heat races.

Jeremy Adamik and Ron Hall led the 20 car Precise Racing Products RUSH Pro-Late Model feature event to the green. Hall jumped into the top spot and appeared to be on his way to scoring his second victory of the season when misfortune struck on lap 17 to bring out the only caution in the event. Hall was attempting to lap Paul Jablonski when the two made contact and spun on the frontstretch. Nico Dabecco was in the right place at the right time as the 16 year old had been running in the second spot and assumed the top spot when green flag racing resumed. The final three laps found Dabecco withstanding challenges from Mark Moats to score his first win at PPMS this season. Moats once again found himself finishing in the second spot with Adamik, Colton Flinner (who started in the 20th spot) and Laura Lukon rounding out the top five.

Josh Holtgraver and Steve Beatty won the Pro-Late Model heat events.

Bill Robertson led the entire distance of the Sunoco Race Fuels Late Model Sportsman main event to pick up his fifth victory of the season. The non-stop event saw Vince Laboon claim the second spot with Nick Kocuba, Joey Koteles and Drew Koteles completing the top five.

Robertson was the victory in the Late Model Sportsman heat event.

Shawn Bryan led the first six circuits of the Hobby Stock main event, which saw him racing side by side with fellow competitors Hannah Ramsey, Dan Black and Chase Evans lap after lap. Black was able to claim the top spots on laps seven and eight before Evans took command on lap nine and went on to claim third win of the season over Black, Bryan and Ramsey.

Evans also scored the win in the Hobby Stock prelim.

Roman O’Neill scored his fourth Imperial Heights Garage Young Guns victory of the season as he led the entire distance of the eight lap main event. Dylan Bolind scored the second place finish after starting in the eighth spot with O.B. Huff, Adam Carson and David Ostrander completing the top five.
