‘The Jet’ Finishes Fifth During Second Day of ‘Winchester 200’

Pittsburgh, PA (September 23rd, 2014) – The last time Jared Miley visited the Eriez Speedway near Erie, Pennsylvania, he came home $5,000 richer. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native will have an opportunity to double that win total with yet another visit to the Eriez Speedway this Friday and Saturday, September 26th and 27th; taking part in the two-day ‘September Sweep’ weekend featuring two complete shows for the super late models. Jared Miley owns eight super late model main event victories thus far in 2014, including one at the Eriez Speedway back on August 3rd. Just like last weekend in Winchester, Virginia, Jared Miley will work towards a weekend sweep this Friday and Saturday in Erie, Pennsylvania; attempting to hit the double-digit win mark, and add two more ‘high dollar’ marquee wins to his 2014 list of accomplishments.
The ‘September Sweep’ program at Eriez Speedway will kick-off on Friday evening, September 26th with a $4,000-to-win super late model main event. The weekend will then continue on Saturday evening, September 27th with a second full program, awarding $6,000 to the main event winner. Jared Miley is certainly no stranger to ‘high dollar’ and ‘high pressure’ situations; winning an NDRL Northeast program in New York state earlier this season worth $3,000, and an ‘Open Event’ at Eriez Speedway worth $5,000. ‘The Jet’s’ most recent win occurred during the ‘Floyd Kline Memorial’ at the Dog Hollow Speedway near Strongstown, Pennsylvania back on Sunday, September 7th. The Dog Hollow Speedway win was worth $2,000. During Miley’s most recent start, ‘The Jet’ earned a fifth place performance during the second half of the ‘Winchester 200’ at the Winchester Speedway near Winchester, Virginia.
“We’ve been hitting our marks this season and it’s paying off” explained Matt Miley; Jared Miley’s crew chief, “Things have been going in the right direction for us and it feels good…even if we don’t win, we are close to the front…the season is winding down quickly but we still have a lot of bigger races lined up including this weekend…hopefully we can use our consistency to our advantage and earn a win at Eriez.”
