Greg Hodnett Becomes 2014 Speedway Motors/Champion Racing Oil Central PA Sprint Cars Champion
The Speedway Motors/Champion Racing Oil Central PA Sprint Cars were to have a two day show with the World of Outlaws at Williams Grove Speedway for the National Open. The Friday October 3rd show was rained out during qualifying. Saturday October 4th the weather was sunny but cooler and no rain in sight. David Gravel took the win Saturday night after dueling with leader Stevie Smith. Donny Schatz was 2nd with Daryn Pittman coming home 3rd.
The Speedway Motors/Champion Racing Oil Central PA Sprint Cars continue this weekend with Williams Grove Speedway on Friday October 10th. Lincoln Speedway and Port Royal Speedway both have shows Saturday October 11th.
Greg Hodnett has reclaimed the Speedway Motors/Champion Racing Oil Central PA Sprint Cars Championship. After finishing 2nd to Fred Rahmer in 2013 Greg has almost a 600 point lead with only a few races left on the season and will take the title back. Greg also has the most wins for the year at 10. Greg will be the recipient of $6,000 as the 2014 champion.
Lance Dewease and Danny Dietrich have been swapping 2nd and 3rd place.
