Brock Zearfoss Finishes Sixth at Port Royal Speedway;
First Top-Ten Finish of the Season

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (March 21, 2016) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss earned his first top-ten finish of the 2016 season on Saturday night, March 19, with a sixth place finish at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. The pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Leach’s Automotive, No. 3Z started sixth on the feature grid and maintained his position throughout the entire 25-lap distance; a great momentum kick after suffering from engine trouble during his first Port Royal Speedway start of 2016 one week prior. Brock Zearfoss will return to the “Speed Palace” on Saturday night, March 26, for another round of 410 sprint car competition.

“The first few starts of the year weren’t the best for us” Brock Zearfoss said, “Debuting a new car with a new crew chief really puts you in a position where you have to start fresh. Despite some bad luck at Port last weekend, and a missed set-up during the Williams Grove Speedway opener on Friday, we were able to push through and earn our first top-ten. I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work and dedication. We have a long season ahead. Our first win is coming soon.”

Brock Zearfoss made two Central Pennsylvania starts during his recent weekend, kicking things off with action at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg on Friday night, March 18. After winning the evening’s consolation B-main, Zearfoss would go on to finish 18th during the historic Williams Grove Speedway opener. The 25-lap program acted as a valuable test session for the 3Z team, which will be utilized during their next visit to Mechanicsburg on Friday night, March 25.

“Not the result we wanted, but we took a lot from it” Brock Zearfoss said, “The car felt great during the B-main, I just don’t think we adjusted enough before going back out for the feature. I could tell the most while racing in traffic. In our sport, you are constantly learning and adapting. We have a great starting point now and we’ll correct what we missed during our next visit.”
