Max Stambaugh will Challenge Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Beginning Wednesday at Plymouth Speedway
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
ELIDA, Oh. (May 31, 2016) – For the first time in 2016, “Mad Max” Stambaugh will face-off against the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour, the nation’s elite 360 sprint car series. The national travelers will invade areas of Michigan and Indiana during their trek through the northeast, visiting three different dirt ovals between Wednesday, June 1, and Saturday, June 4. Stambaugh, the 2015 NRA 360 Sprint Invaders championship runner-up and current series runner-up, will join the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour for all three scheduled events during the upcoming weekend, attempting to outperform the country’s best and earn a first ever ASCS National victory.
“This is pretty much an equivalent to the World of Outlaws for us,” said Stambaugh. “I’ve been around the 360 stuff for a long time. I love 410 sprint car racing, but I mold my focus around our 360 schedule and the NRA schedule. We’ve been fast and we’ve been competitive. The ASCS is tough. We’ll give them all we have this week and work for a win. If we can stay consistent right off of the trailer, there is no reason why we can’t be up front with these guys.”
Max Stambaugh will join the ASCS National Tour on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, June 1, 3, and 4, beginning with competition at the Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, Indiana, on Wednesday, June 1. Action will resume on Friday, June 3, at Hartford Speedway in Hartford, Michigan, followed by a stop at the Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana, on Saturday, June 4.
“I’m pretty excited for this opportunity,” explained Stambaugh, pilot of the Elwer Fence, Specialized Therapy, Biggies Coast to Coast, Triple JJJ, Dale’s Concrete, Quality Welding Fab, Full Effect Lawn Mowing, Radio Hospital, No. 5M. “I wouldn’t be able to do all of this without the help from my loyal sponsors and supporters. They’ve all been behind me from the start. I’m anxious to get the week started.”
“Mad Max” Stambaugh will enter the weekend with four top-five finishes during NRA Sprint Invaders competition in 2016, with his most recent result equalling a fourth place run at Limaland Motorsports Park on May 27.
