By Fully Injected Motorsports:
ELIDA, Ohio (September 13, 2016) – “Mad Max” Stambaugh will continue his relationship with Ray Marshall Motorsports this Friday and Saturday, September 16-17, with back-to-back appearances at “The Track That Action Built.”
Stambaugh, an Elida, Ohio, native who spent much of his 2016 campaign chasing the NRA 360 Sprint Invaders championship with his family-owned operation, will pilot the Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine/Lima Powder Coating/DPI/No.33M during the annual Jim Ford Classic weekend at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio; an opportunity to chase two consecutive $5,000 top prizes, one of which during the FAST 410 Series finale on Friday night, September 16.
“Mad Max” has made three prior starts with Ray Marshall Motorsports in 2016, two of which resulting in top-ten finishes during 410 sprint car competition at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway. Included amongst his recent accomplishments, Stambaugh finished ninth during a 35-lap/$5,000-to-win FAST 410 Series program at Attica Raceway Park, qualifying for feature competition after finishing fifth during his respective heat race.
“I just want to thank the entire Ray Marshall Motorsports team for this opportunity,” Stambaugh said. “I enjoy being a part of their program. I think we have a combination that could mold into something really successful. We are still learning a lot about each other, but the process has been easy. I’m excited to see what we can do this weekend when we get to Fremont Speedway.”
“Mad Max” Stambaugh will enter Jim Ford Classic weekend with two sprint car victories on the season, one in a 410 sprint car and one in a 360 sprint car. Stambaugh concluded his NRA Sprint Invaders season second in the championship, a second consecutive runner-up finish with that particular series.
