GETTYSBURG, PA (October 10, 2016) – Three consecutive starts resulted in three consecutive top-five finishes for “Double-D” Danny Dietrich during his most recent weekend of competition, finishing fourth, third and second, in that specific order, from Friday, October 7, to Sunday, October 9. Dietrich highlighted his top-five sweep with a third place finish against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at the Fulton Speedway in Fulton, New York, on Saturday, October 8.
“Earning finishes like that is important, but there is only one direction to go from here,” Danny Dietrich explained. “We had a fun weekend. Had an opportunity to spend time with a lot of our friends and fans. I think the only logical thing to do with a top-five streak like this is to keep it going. The next step is a win, so we’ll do what we can to get a win Friday and Saturday against the World of Outlaws.”
To go along with his podium finish against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native finished fourth during the “Run What You Brung” special at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, October 7, followed by a runner-up finish at the Lincoln Speedway on Sunday, October 9. The Sunday night program, known formally as the Hank Gentzler Memorial, was contested on Sunday after weather interfered on Saturday.
Danny Dietrich will continue his 2016 campaign with back-to-back World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series events in Central Pennsylvania, including the rescheduled, $25,000-to-win, Champion Racing Oil National Open at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday evening, October 14. “Double-D,” pilot of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Hickory Run Orchards, Weikert’s Livestock, Carlisle Auto Salvage, CATS Used Truck Parts, No. 48, will wrap up his World of Outlaws / Central Pennsylvania doubleheader on Saturday evening, October 15, at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” in Port Royal, Pennsylvania.
“We have an opportunity to score some major paydays this Friday and Saturday right in our own backyard. I think we have the potential to make that happen,” Dietrich said. “I can’t thank my team, supporters, and sponsors enough for their hard work and support this entire season. It’s not easy maintaining schedule like we have. Their hard work allows me to be competitive. We’re going to do our best to keep this relationship and streak of positive results moving forward.”
