SHREVE, Ohio (July 30, 2019) – It had been nearly a month since ‘T-Rev’ Trevor Baker strapped into a winged sprint car, but the time gap did not deter the Shreve, Ohio-native, turning his one-night stand at Sharon Speedway on Saturday, July 27, into a respectable outing.
Baker, driver of the T-Rev Performance/Baker’s Mobile Home Transport/Exodus Cycle/Coblentz Trucking/H&S Concrete/Mid Ohio Diesel/Amsoil Stone Creek Lube/No. 45 sprint car, kicked off his evening in northeast Ohio with the fastest time during qualifying time trials, followed by a fourth place finish during heat race competition.
Despite being scored 19th during feature action, the result of a spin while battling for a top-five position, Baker was satisfied with his performance and hopes to return to action during the Rick Ferkel Classic at Waynesfield Raceway Park on Friday, August 2. The FAST Series program will award a $5,000 top prize.
If all goes according to plan, Baker will rejoin the FAST Series at Wayne County Speedway on Saturday, August 3.
“Not a bad night considering I haven’t raced since Ohio Sprint Speedweek,” Trevor Baker said, who owns one-career victory during 410 sprint car competition. “It was good to knock the rust off. I think we were good enough to finish inside the top-five at Sharon, but unfortunately I spun and that erased all of our potential. Hopefully my work schedule allows for two races during the coming weekend. I do miss being at the track.”
