FREMONT, Ohio (July 30, 2019) – An ongoing trend for the Plano, Texas-native, the ‘Texas Traveler’ T.J. Michael put together another impressive streak of performances in the Buckeye State during the recent weekend, this time accomplishing a top-ten performance at Attica Raceway Park, followed by a podium run at Wayne County Speedway. Impressive enough, the back-to-back top-ten appearances is a second consecutive occurrence for Michael during action at Attica and Wayne County.

Michael, driver of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Architectural Stone/Crown Battery/Fremont Fence Company/Pro-Tech Services/Wood Heating and Air Conditioning/Kear’s Speed Shop/Wings Unlimited/Soul Fully Rooted/Big D’s Pizza/No. 8M sprint car, kicked-off the weekend by finishing sixth during Attica/Fremont Championship Series action at Attica on Friday, July 26, improving one position after starting seventh on the grid.

Certainly the highlight of his weekend, Michael improved his Attica outcome by four positions on Saturday during his visit to Wayne County Speedway, finishing second at the final checkers after starting third on the feature grid. In actuality, Michael was forced to recover from further back to solidify his podium run, fading as far back as fifth after the initial start before making his charge to finish second.

“What a great weekend for our team. I think we were good enough to win on Saturday at Wayne County Speedway, but losing a few spots after starting third kinda put me in a hole,” T.J. Michael said, who is still on the hunt for a first-ever 410 sprint car victory. “Regardless, hats off to this entire team, and congratulations to Trey Jacobs for getting the win at Wayne County. Our time is coming. If we keep putting together weekends like this, I’m confident we’ll be in victory lane soon.”

T.J. Michael and Michael Motorsports will continue their 2019 campaign with another doubleheader in the Buckeye State, first visiting Waynesfield Raceway Park on Friday, August 2, for the $5,000-to-win Rick Ferkel Classic sanctioned by FAST.

Michael will return to Wayne County Speedway for another round of  FAST Series action on Saturday, August 3.
