YORK, Pa. (July 30, 2019) – Cory Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports battled with some of the best in the country during the recent weekend, joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series during the annual Summer Nationals doubleheader at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and Saturday, July 26 & 27.

When the dust settled on Saturday night, Haas found himself with back-to-back main event starts against the Greatest Show On Dirt, highlighting each of his appearances with an 11th place performance on Friday night, July 26. The York-native bumped ahead two spots by feature’s end, advancing from 13th to earn his 11th place finish. Haas qualified for main event competition by finishing fourth during his respective heat race.

Although falling short of his Friday night outcome, Haas still managed to put together a sound evening at Williams Grove Speedway on Saturday, July 27, and finished 17th during the $20,000-to-win Summer Nationals finale.

“It was a great weekend for our team. The car was really good on Friday. On Saturday, I just had a hard time getting a hold of the track,” Cory Haas explained, pilot of John Trone’s Trone Outdoor Motorsports/Trone Outdoor Advertising/York PB Truss/Bricker’s/Wicked Cushion/Old Republic Distillery/Creekside Auto Sales/No. 39 sprint car. “Regardless, I’m proud of everyone. John Trone continues to give us great equipment and the tools necessary to compete at a high level.”

Cory Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports will continue their 2019 campaign with another doubleheader in the Keystone State, first returning to Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg for the annual Billy Kimmel Memorial on Friday night, August 2. Haas will conclude the coming weekend with the $10,000-to-win Dream Race at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, August 3.
