HANOVER, Pa. (April 29, 2024) – As the story goes for most, it was intended to be a three-race weekend for JJ Loss and JKL Racing, but after Mother Nature showed up and interfered with action at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, only one event was left, but “The Boss” took full advantage.
Loss, driver of the Next Level Signs & Graphics, Your Hometown Agents – Colby Jacobs & Neil Reichart Team, Diversified Cuts, Wolf’s Plumbing LLC, No. 67 sprint car, made his lone start of the weekend at BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 28, joining a field of 35 for a $5,000 potential. The Hanover local raced on to not only qualify for the evening’s 35-lap finale, but he finished 12th, maintaining his place just outside of the top-ten after starting in the exact same position. The result was Loss’ most impressive of the season, activating preliminary action by finishing third in his respective heat race.
With non-racing activities taking up much of the upcoming weekend, Loss’ next start will be up against the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, joining the Greatest Show On Dirt at Lincoln Speedway on Wednesday, May 8. The program will award $12,000-to-win.
“The weather should calm down eventually,” Loss quipped. “Regardless, it was a great evening at BAPS for our team and we’ll take that as another check in the right direction. It’s always special when the World of Outlaws come to town, and we’re excited to be a part of that program. The goal is to go out and turn in a solid qualifying lap…it may be the most important lap of the night.”
