BUTLER, Pa. (January 2, 2024) – A Tulsa Shootout rookie by definition, but Cullen Hutchison’s performance certainly proved otherwise, ultimately highlighting his first-ever visit to Tulsa Expo Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a Winged A-Class B-Main appearance; an incredible feat considering nearly 400 cars were entered for that specific division.
Additional Tulsa Shootout results include a Non-Wing A-Class E-Main appearance, as well as a Restricted C-Main appearance. Without saying, the Butler, Pennsylvania, native made the most of his visit to the world’s largest micro event, already looking forward to his return to the indoor blockbuster next December.
“It was a great week for the entire BKR team. I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish and I’m already looking forward to trying again next year,” Hutchison, driver of the BKR, Classic Ink USA Screenprinting & Embroidery, E2 Apparel, Open Joist, No. 21N micro, said. “Everything about the Tulsa Shootout is special and to be a part of such a massive event is something I’ll never forget. A lot of people got us there and we owe it all to them.”
Despite his Tulsa Shootout campaign officially in the books, Hutchison’s winter slate is far from over, as the 11-year-old is already setting aim on another Winter Series start at Millbridge Speedway in Salisbury, North Carolina, on Saturday, January 6. The event, round three of the speedway’s aforementioned Winter Series, will feature the Non-Wing A-Class.
Hutchison is certainly no stranger to the North Carolina staple, capturing a recent Non-Wing victory in mid-December; a first-ever for the Western Pennsylvania youngster.
