KNOXVILLE, Iowa (April 15, 2024) – Despite Friday’s appearance at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri, ultimately cut short, pulling to a stop while battling within the top-ten, “A-Aron” Aaron Reutzel and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR) certainly made up for the issue on Saturday, April 13, concluding the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series-sanctioned Spring Classic with a top-ten outcome, rallying from deep within the field to do so.
Reutzel, ace of Brian & Lisa Ridge’s Folkens Brothers Trucking, Don Long & STC, B And L Holdings, No. 87 sprint car, concluded Saturday’s $12,000-to-win Spring Classic finale with an eighth-place finish, advancing 11 positions from row ten to accomplish said feat. Although close, Reutzel’s eventual outcome was just shy of attaining the evening’s Hard Charger Award; Austin McCarl advanced 12 positions.
The Clute, Texas, native kicked off Saturday’s program with the 19th-fastest time of 37 entries, driving on to finish fifth in his respective heat race.
Reutzel finished second in Friday’s heat race and qualified for the evening’s dash. He went on to start eighth in the evening’s A-Main.
ON DECK:
Ridge & Sons Racing and Aaron Reutzel [No. 87] will continue their 2024 campaign with the Knoxville Raceway season opener on Saturday, April 20. An open practice session will be contested on Friday, April 19. RSR’s schedule also suggests an appearance with High Limit Racing at Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, April 16. The Midweek Money Series program will award a $20,000 payday.

Earned a King of the 360s preliminary victory at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida, on Wednesday, February 14; finished fifth in the $10,000-to-win finale (February 16). Finished fifth from 22nd (Hard Charger Award) in World of Outlaws visit to Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, Texas, on Friday, March 15. Finished third in World of Outlaws start at Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas, on Saturday, March 23. Rallied from 19th to finish eighth (WoO) at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri, on Saturday, April 13.
