Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania recently released their 2012 schedule; offering high paced action each and every weekend from March until October! The big half mile in central Pennsylvania hosts 358 Sprint Cars, Late Models, Pro Stocks, and Roadrunners on a weekly basis; but also invites the 410 sprinters for multiple ‘big show’ appearances! There are 35 events on this year’s schedule- with the 410 sprint cars visiting on four separate occasions. The 360 Sprint Cars and Big Block Modifieds will also invade “the fastest half-mile on the east coast” for multiple nights of competition; including the 12th annual National Open for 358-360 sprint cars on Saturday, September 1st – and the Insinger Performance Products Icebreaker 40 for the Big Block Modifieds on Saturday, March 17th !
The 410 sprints will actually help kick-off the upcoming season at Selinsgrove with a Sunday ‘day’ race on March 11th! That race is a 2PM start.
Daryn Pittman lead the 410 sprint car standings at Selinsgrove Speedway last year over Greg Hodnett and Chad Layton! Although no official track champion is crowned at the facility, points are still tallied throughout the entire season for the 410 competitors. Pittman also won a segment of the Selinsgrove 410 National Open last year worth $6,000!
