Evans City, PA (July 1st, 2013) – With Mother Nature being responsible for most of Brandon Spithaler’s recent spare time, the Evan City, Pennsylvania native will have the opportunity to return to action this Friday and Saturday, July 5th & 6th for a pair of Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (B.O.S.S.) non-wing sprint car events in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. Spithaler, who is a current Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series point championship contender, will lead the B.O.S.S. tour into competition at the Lernerville Speedway (PA) and Sharon Speedway (OH) this Friday and Saturday; each complete with a minimum $1,400-to-win main event for the B.O.S.S. non-wing sprint cars. Spithaler is a one (1) time winner on the B.O.S.S. tour thus far in 2013, and looks forward to returning to familiar territory this Friday and Saturday for a chance to snag two (2) more non-wing victories.
Brandon Spithaler, who drives the Tom Burkey owned, Superior Tank and Trailer sponsored, no. 57B full-time on the B.O.S.S. trail in 2013, will kick-off his non-wing weekend with a visit to the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Friday evening, July 5th. This will be the first appearance by the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series at the Sarver 4/10’s mile oval in 2013. Brandon Spithaler has earned one (1) victory at the Lernerville Speedway this season, but not during non-wing sprint car competition. The Western Pennsylvania native scored a winged ‘410’ sprint car victory at the speedway back in May; capturing a 25-lap, ‘Fab Four’ weekly main event from behind the wheel of his Cycle Warehouse, no. 22 ‘410’ sprinter.
Non-wing B.O.S.S. action will continue-on at the Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio on Saturday night, July 6th. This will be the first of two (2) Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series events at the Sharon 3/8’s mile oval in 2013; with the second show taking place on Saturday, August 17th. Brandon Spithaler finished ninth (9th) during last season’s B.O.S.S. event at the Sharon Speedway. For more information, such as gate times or ticket prices, regarding the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series events at the Lenerville Speedway and/or Sharon Speedway, please visit the series online at www.buckeyesprints.com.
Brandon Spithaler will enter the upcoming weekend inside the top five of the current Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series standings; trailing recent series feature winner and point leader, Tony Beaber, by a few markers heading into Lernerville Speedway on Friday, July 5th. The pilot of the Tom Burkey owned no. 57B has one (1) B.O.S.S. win in 2013; with that taking place at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania back on May 25th.
