ST. HELENA, California (November 1, 2021) – Rico Abreu’s Halloween weekend was an action-packed affair, to say the least, as the St. Helena, California-native participated in a pair of NARC-King of the West Series events at Keller Auto Speedway and Kern County Raceway Park on Friday and Saturday, October 29-30. Back-to-back starts resulted in back-to-back top-ten finishes for the former King of the West winner, highlighting the duo with a seventh-place score at Kern County.

Impressive enough, Abreu, driver of the Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing/Rowdy Energy/Curb Records/Lucas Oil Products/Salty’s BBQ/Self Made Racing/XYZ Machining/Stadelhofer Construction/No. 24 sprint car, climbed a grand total of eight feature positions over the two-day stretch, kicking things off with a rally from 15th to tenth at Keller Auto Speedway.

Abreu’s aforementioned seventh-place finish at Kern County commenced from the outside of row five.

Additional weekend stats include recording the fourth-fastest qualifying time at Kern County Raceway Park, followed up with a fourth-place finish during his respective heat race.

“It was a fun weekend for our team. It’s tough to feel a sense of satisfaction unless you win, but to earn top-tens against that level of talent is still a pretty big achievement,” Rico Abreu said, a three-time winner in 2021 with victories occurring at Knoxville Raceway, Eldora Speedway, and Tulare’s Thunderbowl Raceway. “Hats off to this entire Rowdy Energy team. The guys work hard and I’m proud to have them by my side. We’ll regroup this week and try again at Stockton.”

Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with another round of NARC-King of the West Series action, this time visiting the Stockton Dirt Track in Stockton, California, on Saturday, November 6. Dubbed the Tribute to Gary Patterson, the Saturday night showstopper will not only close out the 2021 King of the West schedule, but it will simultaneously close out the 2021 Stockton season.

Abreu finished second in the Tribute last year, jumping ahead two spots after starting fourth.
