Anticipation Building for $20,000 ‘Let’s Get Dirty 75’ at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex

Pittsburgh, PA (August 13, 2013) The National Dirt Racing League’s inaugural season will continue when the ‘Kings of Dirt’ battle for $20,000 at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA on Monday, September 2. The Labor Day extravaganza will also include the rising stars of the RUSH Dirt Late Model Series as they compete for $2,000.


A stout field of drivers is expected to be in competition at the scenic oval located just miles away from the famous Nemacolin Woodlands resort including NDRL point leader Jimmy Mars of Menomonie, WI. Mars kicked off the NDRL season with a pair of third place finishes at Paducah (KY) International Raceway and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, MO during the tour’s inaugural weekend. ‘Mr. Smooth’, Billy Moyer of Batesville, AR is a mere four points behind Mars in second while Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 winner, Brian Birkhofer of Muscataine, IA sits third in points just six points behind the point leader. Shinnston, WV’s Josh Richards sits fourth in points ahead of Carpenterville, IL’s Dennis Erb Jr. who rounds out the top five. Shannon Babb from Moweaqua, IL is sixth, Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, IL sits seventh just ahead of Salt Rock, WV’s Eddie Carrier Jr., Ashland, KY’s Steve Francis, and Zebulon, GA’s Shane Clanton who completes the top ten. The ‘Let’s Get Dirty 75’ at Roaring Knob will have an open tire rule.

In addition to the on track action, Country Music Recording Artist Cody McCarver will be live in concert as well as fireworks and pyrotechnics shows by Legendary Entertainment Productions, known for their work at crown jewel events such as the ‘Dream’ and ‘World 100’, will be provided free with admission!

Ticket prices for the ‘Let’s Get Dirty 75’ at Roaring Knob are $35 for general admission and $45 for pit entry. Tickets are also available online at www.theNDRL.com for a discounted price of $30 for general admission and $40 for pits. The NDRL will offer a free Fan Pit Pass to any general admission ticket holder that donates a toy ($5 minimum with receipt) to Racers for Tots.

Pit gates and driver registration will open at 11:00am while the grandstand gates will open at 1:00pm. Fans can enjoy a pre-race, holiday concert by Cody McCarver at 2:00pm before the driver autograph session will be held at 3:30pm. The night’s driver’s meeting will be held at approximately 5:30pm with hot laps scheduled for 6:00pm. Time Trials will follow hot laps with racing starting at approximately 6:30pm.
