Arnold Motor Supply Shootout Showcases WoO STP Sprint Car Series on Friday
Inside Line Promotions – SPENCER, Iowa (Sept. 9, 2013) – With the Clay County Fair in high gear, the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series is prepared to tackle Clay County Fair Speedway on Friday for the 7th annual Arnold Motor Supply Shootout.
The event – with associate sponsors including H&N Chevrolet Buick, The Farmers Bank of Spencer, Bob’s Bike Shop, Vander Haag’s Inc. and Justice Brothers – will mark the series return to the Midwest after a busy West Coast swing when the Outlaws competed eight times in a 10-day span.
“It’s been a great event and a great addition to the Clay County Fair,” Craig Dollansky said. “We’ve had some great racing every September.”
Dollansky earned a victory in 2011 at the 3/8-mile track, which showcased NASCAR driver Brad Sweet’s first-career World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series win last season. However, the most recent winner, Donny Schatz, is the only driver to record multiple wins at Clay County Fair Speedway.
Schatz was victorious last season during the second of two races and in 2007-08. Jason Meyers in 2009 and Jac Haudenschild in 2010 were also Arnold Motor Supply Shootout winners.
The front gate is scheduled to open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at approximately 7:30 p.m.
TICKETS –
Reserved combo tickets, which including a pit pass along with a reserved seat, are available for only $38 for adults and $25 for children 12 and younger when purchased in advance. Advance adult general admission tickets are $32 and children ages 6 to 12 are $15. Children 5 and younger get in free. Tickets are also available at the fairgrounds ticket booth during normal business hours.
Also, spectators can upgrade any ticket to a pit pass for only $10 on race day.
