Atomic Speedway partners with #Untiltheresnone for 2017 season

CHILLICOTHE, OH (March 30, 2017) – Just in time for the Ohio Sprint Car Series season opener on Saturday, April 1, Atomic Speedway officials are proud to announce that the speedway has partnered with #Untiltheresnone; a non-profit organization aimed to raise post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and suicide awareness that affects military veterans.

The organization’s mission is to lower the rate of those affected by PTSD by introducing sufferers to select programs such as Reestablishing The Brotherhood and Horsepower For Heroes; a program created to introduce PTSD victims to the world of motorsports in hopes of creating positive reinforcement and an adrenaline-filled distraction.

“We are proud to be affiliated with the #Untiltheresnone organization,” Brad McCown explained, Atomic Speedway promoter. “Many of our fans are former military personnel, and we want to show our support and affection by supporting an organization that plays a major role in trying to stop a traumatic disorder that may affect them. We have some special activities planned, so hopefully we can do our part in raising awareness, also.”

In support of #Untiltheresnone, Atomic Speedway will grant all Veterans free access, with proper military identification, during Veterans Night on Saturday, July 15. The evening program, complete with five separate divisions, will feature Super Late Models, AMRA Modifieds, AMRA Sport Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Mini Late Models. In addition, Atomic Speedway will interact with #Untiltheresnone by sponsoring its inaugural golf outing, as well as host a cornhole tournament during Open Wheel Championship weekend on August 24-26 that will send all proceeds to the #Untiltheresnone organization.

“I think we can help make a difference,” McCown said. “What better way than bringing veterans to the track.”

More news and notes will be posted in the near future. To learn more about #Untiltheresnone and all of its programs, log on to www.untiltheresnone.com. Those seeking additional updates regarding Atomic Speedway should visit the facility live on the Web at the all-new www.atomicspeedway.net.
