2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Seventh | 5482 points [324 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]

CARLISLE, Pa. (July 25, 2022) – A slow start to their Central Pennsylvania invasion ultimately resulted in success, as CJB Motorsports and Lebanon, Indiana’s Spencer Bayston concluded the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series trio at Port Royal Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway with a top-ten score on Saturday, July 23, officially capping The Grove’s annual Summer Nationals with an eighth-place performance after starting 15th on the A-Main grid.
For Bayson, who remains seventh in the World of Outlaws championship standings, the top-ten result bumped his season tally to 24, 13 of which top-five outcomes including a fourth-place run in Eldora Speedway’s Knight Before the Kings Royal one weekend prior.
Although missing the top-ten at Port Royal Speedway on Wednesday, July 20, and again during Williams Grove Speedway’s Summer Nationals preliminary on Friday, July 22, Spencer Bayston qualified for each of the respective A-Mains, eventually ending his efforts with a 17th-place score on Wednesday and a 14th-place score on Friday. Needless to say, Bayston’s effort on Saturday trumped other recent results.
“To end the weekend with a top-ten is important, but I think we were better than where we finished,” Bayston said. “Hats off to the entire team. It wasn’t the weekend we wanted, especially with all three being ‘home games’ for our CJB Motorsports car. But, we’ll shake it off and move forward. We’ll be right back on track at Weedsport.”

Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a Weedsport Speedway doubleheader on Saturday and Sunday, July 30-31; the first and only visit to the Empire State this season for the World of Outlaws.
