Bova Finishes Second in Final Cavalcade Points
Looking Ahead to 2016

Struthers, Ohio (October 16, 2015) – Cody “Bonzai” Bova will have an opportunity to celebrate a long list of accomplishments during the upcoming off-season. The Struthers, Ohio, native claimed a Mercer Raceway Park track championship in 2015, winning five “Outlaw Sprint Warriors” feature victories at Mercer’s short track to help clinch a first ever title. Bova, pilot of the Bova Racing, J.S. Bova Excavating, AIMI Product Imagining, LLC., Richardson Tree Service, BC Contracting, J.S. Paris Excavating, #20B, 305ci powered sprint car, earned a total of six feature wins during his 2015 campaign; finding victory lane at Brookville, Pennsylvania’s Thunder Mountain Speedway on one occasion to go along with his five triumphs at Mercer Raceway Park. Bova will also enter the off-season as the #1 Cochran Cavalcade Points runner-up in the 305/limited sprint car division; finishing just four points behind champion George Hobaugh. The #1 Cochran Cavalcade Points system has been around for 43 years and focuses mainly on competition in western Pennsylvania.
“It was a great season for us…it really hasn’t sunk in yet” said Cody Bova, “I’m proud of everyone involved. I can’t thank my family enough for supporting my brother and I. They make all of our racing a reality. I also want to thank Skip Dougherty for the opportunity to drive for him this season. We had some success together at certain times this year and he’s helped me quite a bit.”
News and updates regarding Cody Bova’s 2016 season will be released in the near future. Early plans include a potential 2016 Fremont/Attica Sprint Title “305” Championship Series campaign and select 410 sprint car events.
“We have a lot to work on” said Bova, “It is never too early to start preparing for next season. We have some goals and big plans in mind. I wish we could race more this year, but we can’t; just nowhere close for us to race. We’ll take the time and get everything ready for next season.”
