Bova Runner-Up During Applefest; “Little Guys Nationals” on Deck!
Tough Weekend at Fremont Results in Two Top-Fifteen Finishes

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

Struthers, Ohio (September 22, 2015) – Cody Bova made three consecutive 305 sprint car starts during the recent weekend, traveling as far west as Fremont, Ohio, and as far north as Franklin, Pennsylvania. Despite the weekend kicking off on a sour note, recording back-to-back 14th place finishes during the “Jim Ford Classic” weekend at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, the Struthers, Ohio native rebounded greatly and ended his three-race stretch with a podium performance at the Tri-City Raceway Park near Franklin, Pennsylvania. Bova started eighth on Sunday evening at Tri-City and rallied for a second place finish during the annual “Applefest” program on September 20. There were 18 cars entered for the $1,000-to-win, Sunday night showcase.

“We had a fun weekend, nonetheless” said Cody Bova, “I love making the trip to Fremont. Those guys are good. The ‘305’ division in and around that area is still growing. Anytime I have an opportunity to race with them, I want to capitalize on it and go out there. We are a little underpowered out there, but I still learn from those guys every time I am on the track. Regardless, we ended the weekend on a good note…had a solid finish at Tri-City. I want to thank Scott Priester for all of his help on Sunday. He’s been around this sport a long time and he gives our team a lot of positive input. Scott had us moving forward on Sunday so we owe that finish to him.”

Up next on the schedule is a doubleheader weekend at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. “Bonzai” Bova will enter his Bova Racing,  J.S. Bova Excavating, AIMI Product Imagining, LLC., Richardson Tree Service, BC Contracting, J.S. Paris Excavating, #20B, 305 sprint car in the “Little Guys Nationals” at Mercer Raceway Park this Friday and Saturday, September 25-26; aiming to sweep the weekend for a $1,500 payout. The “Outlaw Sprint Warriors” sprint cars, or 305/5.3L powered sprint cars, will co-headline the “Little Guys Nationals” weekend for a $500 top prize on Friday and a $1,000 top prize on Saturday. Bova, a five-time main event winner at the speedway this season, was recently crowned the 2015 Mercer Raceway Park “Outlaw Sprint Warriors” track champion.

“Always excited to get back to Mercer Raceway Park” said Bova, “We’ve turned a lot of laps there this season. No pressure this weekend since the track championship is already wrapped up. We will go there and work as hard as we can to get a win on both nights.”
