Brandon Matus Trails Brandon Spithaler By 21 Points Heading Into August 2nd ‘Fab Four’ Program

Wampum, PA (August 1st, 2013) – Fourth generation sprint car driver and Wampum, Pennsylvania native Brandon Matus will roll into the Lernerville Speedway gates in Sarver, Pennsylvania this Friday evening, August 2nd well within striking distance of the 2013 Lernerville Speedway track championship. Only one (1) month of point racing remains at the world-famous dirt oval; giving drivers and teams alike limited opportunity to put themselves in position of the 2013 Lernerville Speedway point championship. Although Brandon Matus has yet to find victory lane at the Sarver 4/10’s mile oval over the course of the 2013 season thus far, his consistency and ability to finish towards the front has kept him, and his familiar ‘Lucky 13,’ well within the championship limits.
Matus, who pilots the Sobczak Electric, Matus Service Center, Miller Masonry, Ti22 Performance, Gressman Powersports, no. 13 ‘410’ sprint car, finds himself second (2nd) in the current Lernerville Speedway sprint car championship standings; trailing current point leader and recent Lernerville Speedway winner, Brandon Spithaler, by twenty-one (21) markers. There are five (5) consecutive ‘Fab Four’ point races left on the Lernerville Speedway schedule in 2013; giving Brandon Matus five (5) consecutive weeks to capitalize, and take control of the championship point standings. Interestingly enough, the pilot of the Matus Service Center/Sobczak Electric no. 13 sprinter will focus his attention solely on the Lernerville Speedway sprint car championship for the next month, and part ways with his normal Saturday night destination; Mercer Raceway Park.
The first of five (5) consecutive ‘Fab Four’ point races during the month of August at the Lernerville Speedway will kick-off this Friday evening, August 2nd. Brandon Matus will head into Friday’s ‘Fab Four’ program with four (4) Lernerville Speedway heat race victories, and two (2) podium appearances during ‘410’ feature action.
