Brent Marks Earns Two Top-Tens Against All Stars, 56th Annual Knoxville Nationals Just Around the Corner

MYERSTOWN, PA (August 1, 2016) – After spending a full weekend on the road with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions, recording two top-ten finishes in two feature starts including a fourth place performance at Tri-City Raceway Park on Sunday, July 30, the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks will now begin preparations for a major road trip to the central time zone. Marks, pilot of the Brent Marks Racing, M&M Painting & Construction, BAPS Auto Paint & Supply, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Russell Heller Builders, KC Automotive, No. 19M, will travel west with plans to participate in four major events, all capped off with the $150,000-to-win, 56th Annual 5-hour ENERGY Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores at Knoxville Raceway.
“We a had a pretty good weekend with the All Stars. I’m proud of my guys,” Brent Marks explained. “There were a few things we needed to do differently, but regardless, it was a fun weekend and we look forward to doing it again next year. We have a lot to work on this week, so we won’t dwell on recent results too long. I can’t thank my family, team, and supporters enough for their hard work and dedication toward this team. We have a lot of moving parts that keep us going up and down the road. I wouldn’t be here without their effort.”
Brent Marks, a two-time feature winner in Central Pennsylvania thus far in 2016, will participate in four major events during his travels west of the Mississippi River, including the Ironman 55 in Pevely, Missouri, the Capitani Classic in Knoxville, Iowa, the $20,000-to-win Front Row Challenge in Oskaloosa, Iowa, and the 56th annual Knoxville Nationals back at the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. The Myerstown, Pennsylvania, native will race head-to-head with the top sprint car drivers in the country during his near-two week trek through the Midwest, aiming to repeat success and ultimately qualify for a second consecutive Knoxville Nationals A-main on Saturday, August 13.
“I can’t believe it’s time to head to Knoxville already,” Marks said. “To qualify for the A-main last year and race for a $150,000 created an unexplainable feeling. We really had to earn it, too; racing through the last chance event on Friday night last year. Our goal is to do it all over again. We want to represent our supporters and our fans at the highest level and the Knoxville Nationals is that level. I can’t wait to get back out there.”
