Brent Marks Earns Victory at Trail-Way, Kings Royal On Deck

MYERSTOWN, PA. (July 11, 2016) – The “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks made two starts during the recent weekend, scoring back-to-back podium finishes including a victory at Trail-Way Speedway near Hanover on Sunday evening, July 10. The $3,500 victory increased Marks’ win tally to two in 2016, earning his first at Port Royal Speedway in mid-March. The Trail-Way Speedway appearance featured 410 sprint cars for the first time in ten years.
Marks, driver of the Brent Marks Racing, M&M Painting & Construction, BAPS Auto Paint & Supply, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Russell Heller Builders, KC Automotive, No. 19M entry, kicked off his recent weekend with an appearance at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” on Saturday, July 9. The Myerstown, Pennsylvania, native finished second during main event action at the “Speed Palace,” a second consecutive runner-up performance in Port Royal, Pennsylvania.
“We had a great weekend. Very proud of what we accomplished,” said Brent Marks. “I think we were in a pretty good position to win both of those shows this weekend, but couldn’t quite make Saturday work out how we wanted it. Esh was good. We had some opportunities to work around him, just came up a little short. We have a big weekend coming up. We’ll try it again!”
Brent Marks Racing will now begin preparations for a three race weekend at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Marks will join the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series for three consecutive events at the World’s Greatest Dirt Track, including “Jokers Wild” on Thursday, July 14, “Knight Before the Kings Royal” on Friday, July 15, and the 33rd annual Kings Royal on Saturday, July 16. Each day will feature a complete program, awarding $10,000 on Thursday, $12,000 on Friday, and $50,000 on Saturday. Brent Marks finished 16th during his 2015 Kings Royal appearance at Eldora Speedway, bettering most of nearly 60 World of Outlaws entries.
If travel plans go accordingly, Brent Marks will enter action at Susquehanna Speedway near York Haven, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, July 17.
“What can I say, it’s Eldora,” Marks explained. “We are all really excited to get back out there, especially for the Kings Royal. The new three day format is really exciting and the purse is really impressive. We’ll put this new Maxim to the test and see what we can do.
