Danny Dietrich Scores Three Top-Five Finishes in Two Days, Central PA Triple-Header Next

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, PA. (July 11, 2016) – Recently crowned Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek champion Danny Dietrich added three more checks to his top-five column during the recent weekend, scoring three top-five performances in two days, two of which at the same Central Pennsylvania facility. “Double-D” finished second, fourth, and fifth during his weekend travels in and around the Pigeon Hills, kicking things off with a runner-up performance at Lincoln Speedway during the Weldon Sterner Memorial makeup event on Saturday, July 9. Dietrich led the first 16 laps of the 33-lap program, eventually suffering from engine troubles before crossing under the final checkers second in the running order.

Dietrich would go on to finish fifth during the regularly scheduled program at Lincoln Speedway later that evening, his sixth top-five finish of the 2016 season in the Pigeon Hills. The Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, native capped off his weekend by finishing fourth at Trail-Way Speedway near Hanover on Sunday evening, July 10. It was the first 410 sprint car appearance at Trail-Way in ten years.

“Not a bad weekend at all. Certainly can’t complain about three top-five finishes in two days,” said Danny Dietrich. “I don’t think this level of consistency would be possible without the team that I have. They are the hardest working group of guys that I know. They are the backbone and I appreciate everything that they do. Hopefully we can go out this weekend and score three more top-five finishes.”

“Double-D” will continue his 2016 campaign with another Central Pennsylvania triple-header on Friday through Sunday, July 15-17. Dietrich, the current Williams Grove Speedway point leader and former Lincoln Speedway track champion, will visit Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and Susquehanna Speedway during the upcoming weekend, igniting officially with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series tune-up at “The Grove” on Friday night, July 15. The tune-up will give “Pennsylvania Posse” teams one last opportunity to test and tune before the Outlaws invade Williams Grove Speedway on July 22-23.

Dietrich will move on to John Gleim Jr. Excavating Night at Lincoln Speedway on July 16, followed by 410 sprint car competition at Susquehanna Speedway on Sunday, July 17.
