Brent Marks Finishes 17th in Knoxville Nationals “A”
Three Central PA Events Next for “BMR”

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

Myerstown, PA (August 17, 2015) – Despite recently returning home from a busy stretch in the midwest, complete with seven events during a nine day time period, the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks will waste no time and begin preparations for three events in central Pennsylvania. The Myerstown, Pennsylvania native will join the “Pennsylvania Posse” at three different facilities this Friday, Saturday and Sunday; beginning with “Twin 20’s” action at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday, August 21. Each 20-lap feature will award $2,500 to the main event winner.

“The trip was long, but it was worth it” said Brent Marks, “We had a great week at the Knoxville Nationals and we are proud of ourselves. Our plan is to stay busy and jump right back into things with a busy weekend this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully we can use up some of our Knoxville momentum and finally get this 19M in victory lane.”

The Brent Marks Racing, BAPS Auto Paint & Supplies, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, Diamond Toyota, Russell Heller Builders, #19M team will visit the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania on Saturday night, August 22 for “BAPS Night.” A full card of “410” sprint car competition is scheduled in the Pigeon Hills for Saturday evening. Marks will join the field in hopes of earning a victory in front of BAPS Auto Paint & Supplies representatives; long time supporters of Brent Marks Racing.

The upcoming weekend will conclude on Sunday evening, August 23, with “410” sprint car action at the Susquehanna Speedway Park near York Haven, Pennsylvania. “S.S.P.” hosts the “410” sprinters on select Sundays throughout the season. $3,500 will be awarded on Sunday night after 25-laps of green flag competition.

Brent Marks will enter the three-race weekend coming off of a stellar performance at the 55th annual FVP Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores at the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa. The pilot of the familiar #19M finished 17th during the $150,000-to-win Knoxville Nationals “A” on Saturday night, August 15; bettering most of roughly 120 drivers and teams from across the world entered for the entire four-day spectacle. Marks qualified for the prestigious fifty lapper after finishing third during preliminary competition on Friday night, August 14.

After missing feature competition during his qualifying night on Thursday, August 13, by one position, and failing to earn enough points to lock himself into Saturday night’s A main, Marks would be forced to enter one last preliminary event on Friday night, August 14. The “Pennsylvania Posse” representative earned the fastest time of the night during qualifying time trials on Friday evening; eventually finishing third during heat race competition and third during the 25-lap main event. There were 80 cars entered for the final night of preliminary action at Knoxville Raceway.

“The week started off kinda tough on us, but we were able to bounce back” said Marks, “To qualify for the ‘A’ was really special. I’m still in a little bit of shock. It’s the biggest race in the world for our sport and to make the main event is incredible. So many people I need to thank including my family, team and all of my loyal sponsors. We had a goal this year to better our results from last year and that is exactly what we did. Hopefully we can go back next year and do the same.”
