PENNDEL, Pa. (May 28, 2019) – Brett Michalski has molded much of his focus around action at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway in 2019, and that was once again the case during Memorial Day weekend as the Penndel, Pennsylvania-native visited the Pigeon Hills on Saturday evening, May 25.
Kicking things off with a sixth place performance during heat race action, Michalski would go on to finish 13th during the evening’s main event, still chasing a first-ever victory behind the wheel of a 410c.i. sprint car.
In actuality, Brett Michalski’s long, holiday weekend ignited four nights prior during World of Outlaws competition at Bridgeport Speedway in Bridgeport, New Jersey. The 2018 Lincoln Speedway Rookie of the Year was on pace to qualify for main event action against the national travelers, but mechanical misfortune during the evening’s Last Chance Showdown proved otherwise.
“That was disappointing,” said Michalski of his Bridgeport Speedway visit on May 21. “Those things happen, though; not a lot we can do about that kind of stuff. It’s tough to swallow because we were in a transfer position. But, we’ll shake that off and move forward. We have a long season ahead with a lot on our plate.”
