GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (September 6, 2022) – Brian Brown’s return to the Keystone State kicked-off in near-flawless fashion over Labor Day weekend, not only capping the four-race turned three-race weekend with three consecutive top-five finishes, ultimately losing Monday’s Labor Day Classic to Mother Nature, but earning a victory in the process, securing his place in victory lane at Selinsgrove Speedway on Sunday, September 4.

The win, Brown’s seventh of the 2022 season, occurred from the front row, charging to the lead over Mechanicsburg’s Lucas Wolfe on lap 13 to secure the $5,500 payday. It was Brown’s second career at the track, simultaneously making him an automatic qualifier for the $26,000-to-win Jim Nace Memorial National Open on Saturday, September 24; a race he won in his first-ever start at the speedway in 2017

Brown, ace of the Brian Brown Racing, Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Rowdy Energy, Ditzfeld Transfer, Champion Brands, MC Power, Weld Wheels, Housby, Maxim Chassis, J.D. Welding & Machine, Waldinger, Smiley’s Racing Products, Wolfe Eye Clinic, Mid Mo Equipment, Bell Helmets, No. 21 sprint car, kicked-off the long, holiday weekend by finishing fourth at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, September 2, and fifth during Port Royal Speedway’s Fair Opener on Saturday, September 3.

Although not ending in victory, Brown led the way at the Port Royal “Speed Palace” until 14 to go when Devon Borden snuck by the Higginsville, Missouri, native; Brown would eventually slip to fifth.

“I’m very proud to get a win at Selinsgrove Speedway. It’s important for our team to win races all over the country, as well as be competitive all over the country…not just in the Midwest and Knoxville Raceway,” Brown stated. “My team did a phenomenal job all weekend. The track was tricky-slick, and we had our car exactly where it needed to be. Just a total team effort and I’m ready to move on to the next one.”

ON DECK:
Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2022 campaign with the three-day Tuscarora blockbuster at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. Chasing a total weekend winner’s share equaling $73,000, the “Speed Palace” tripleheader will ignite with an $8,000 preliminary on Thursday, September 8, followed by the $10,000-to-win Night Before the Tuscarora 50 on Friday, September 9. Tuscarora weekend will conclude with the 55th running of the 50-lap Tuscarora 50, awarding $55,000, on Saturday, September 10.
