JONESTOWN, Pa. (May 18, 2020) – Joining a field of nearly 60 race teams from all corners of the country, some of which full-time All Star and World of Outlaws competitors, Jonestown, Pennsylvania’s Brock Zearfoss made his presence known during his visit to Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota, on Friday, May 15, and earned a spot in the Great Lakes Shootout preliminary main event.

A third place finish during heat race competition sealed Zearfoss’ fate, maintaining a transfer position after starting second on the grid.

Although his Friday evening feature result fell short of a top-ten outcome, Zearfoss’ bounce from 18th to 16th scored important test laps, which will come in handy when the former Port Royal Speedway track champion faces-off against the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on the highbanks of Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 on Friday and Saturday, May 22-23.

Saturday’s Great Lakes Shootout finale was eventually cancelled due to rain.

“It was a pretty productive night for our team. I think we were better than where we finished, but we’ll take the lap time and move on. That’s all you can do; learn from results and move on to the next one,” Brock Zearfoss said, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc./C&D Rigging Inc./BAPS Auto Paints & Supply/Meckley’s Limestone Products/Berkebile Oil Company/Klick Lewis Cars/J.P. Adamsky Trucking/No. 3Z sprint car. “We have a busy few weeks ahead, so we’re ready to get rolling. We’re privileged to have a group of partners who believe in us and support our efforts out on the road. More good things are ahead for us.”

After a weekend in Pevely, Missouri, where the team will battle the Outlaws for a total winner’s share equalling $16,000, Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will finally have the opportunity to return to All Star Circuit of Champions competition, as the Series is set to visit Park Jefferson International Speedway in North Sioux City, South Dakota, on Friday and Saturday, May 29-30. The All Star doubleheader, the first weekend of competition for the Series since its four-race swing in Florida during the month of February, will award a pair of $5,000 top prizes.

Zearfoss is certainly no stranger to action at Park Jefferson International Speedway, recently earning the $6,000 Open Wheel Nationals victory on April 25.
