Brock Zearfoss Closes Memorial Day Weekend with Two Top-Tens

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (May 31, 2016) – Memorial Day weekend was nothing short of action packed for Jonestown’s Brock Zearfoss, entering three consecutive events in Central Pennsylvania while vying for paydays equalling no less than $4,000. When the dust settled on Sunday evening, the “Jonestown Jet” had two top-ten finishes to his credit, finishing as high as sixth during feature competition, as well as a whole new level of confidence that will prove to be beneficial heading into the month of June.

“We feel really good right now. I’m confident that we’ll be in the hunt for a win next weekend,” explained Brock Zearfoss. “It was a challenging weekend for our team, but those long weekends are what we live for. We definitely had the potential to finish inside the top-ten on all three nights, but sometimes you miss where you need to be. Sometimes you try something and it makes you look like a hero, and other times you try something and it’s not even close to what you expected. Regardless, we’re all pretty happy with what we accomplished.”

Brock Zearfoss earned his first top-ten finish of Memorial Day weekend on Friday night, May 27, at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg. The pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Leach’s Automotive, No. 3Z, finished 10th during the $4,000-to-win, Diamond Series event. It was Zearfoss’ third top-ten finish at Williams Grove Speedway in 2016.

Zearfoss earned his second top-ten finish of the holiday weekend on Saturday, May 28, at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, night one of the three-day Bob Weikert Memorial Sprint Car Spectacular. A sixth place finish during feature competition highlighted his performance on Saturday night, his fourth sixth place run of the season at the “Speed Palace.” A charge from row four to finish third during his respective heat race set the tone for the entire evening.

“We showed a lot of speed during certain points and that’s probably the most exciting part of the weekend” said Zearfoss. “I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work. We’re still learning, but we’re getting more and more confident. I know we’ll get that first win soon. It’s going to happen.”

Brock Zearfoss will kick-off the month of June with back-to-back nights of sprint car competition in Central Pennsylvania, once again joining the fields at Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway. The 410 sprint cars will be joined by the URC 360 sprint cars during action at “The Grove” on Friday night, June 3. Port Royal Speedway will feature a standard program for the 410 sprinters on Saturday, June 4, as well as a full super late model speedweek program. Zearfoss will enter the “Speed Palace” gates in Port Royal currently sixth in the track championship chase, on the strength of six top-six finishes.
