JONESTOWN, Pa. (January 20, 2023) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss and his own Brock Zearfoss Racing are excited to announce their return to the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in 2023, which will launch officially with Volusia Speedway Park’s annual DIRTcar Nationals on Thursday through Saturday, February 9-11.
Zearfoss, who will celebrate a third season with the Greatest Show On Dirt, will enter his upcoming campaign with not only two years of valuable over the road experience, but with recent off-season success in Australia, all of which padded by two podium finishes with Goldstar Transport during Western Australia Speedweek. The team will continue their Down Under schedule with upcoming starts at Perth Motorplex ($15,000-to-win), plus starts in the annual Presidents Cup, Kings Challenge, and the Grand Annual Sprint Car Classic.
“It’s something you dream about doing your entire life, and to have the opportunity to do it for a third consecutive season is pretty special. We’re excited to get started,” Zearfoss said of his return to the World of Outlaws. “I certainly wouldn’t be in this position without my team and dedicated partners. There’s a lot of moving parts in maintaining a competitive World of Outlaws program and I’m certainly grateful for everyone’s support and dedication.”
Zearfoss, a former Port Royal Speedway track champion before making the swift transition to All Star Circuit of Champions competition, and ultimately the World of Outlaws, capped his 2022 campaign tenth in the final Outlaws driver championship, securing 20 top-ten scores along the way including a victory at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, on July 2. Although a former Outlaws winner at the world-famous Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, the Cedar Lake victory, a $10,000 score, was Zearfoss’ first as a full-time Series traveler.
“I want to thank Goldstar Transport for the opportunity to compete in Australia this winter. This is actually my second trip to Australia and it’s quite the experience,” Zearfoss added. “Getting the chance to race during our off-season back home allows me to stay fresh and maintain that competitive edge. I’m confident it will pay off.”
Brock Zearfoss and the World of Outlaws will actually spend the first five events of their 2023 schedule at Volusia Speedway Park, returning for the Low-E Insulation Sprint Showdown on March 5-6.
