GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (May 24, 2022) – Another Knoxville Raceway appearance resulted in another podium performance for Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing, this time finishing third on Jersey Freeze/Dennison Racing Tee’s Night on Saturday, May 21.
Brown, ace of the Casey’s, FVP, Andy’s Frozen Custard, Impact Signs Awnings and Wraps, Rowdy Energy, Ditzfeld transfer, Champion Brands, MC Power, Weld Wheels, Housby, Maxim Chassis, J.D. Welding & Machine, Waldinger, Smiley’s Racing Products, Wolfe Eye Clinic, Mid Mo Equipment, Bell Helmets, K1 RaceGear, No. 21 sprint car, started second on Knoxville Raceway’s feature grid and maintained his position for much of the distance, that until a three-wide battle for second unfolded with Justin Henderson and Austin McCarl applying the pressure.
Doing everything he could to hold them off, McCarl would eventually capitalize and slip by, getting Brown for second with just three circuits remaining.
“All in all, it was a great night for this Casey’s/FVP No. 21 car. Hats off to my guys. They work hard and make results like this possible. We were good, just not quite good enough,” Brown expressed, a two-time Knoxville Raceway winner thus far in 2022. “I’m looking forward to spending four days in Pennsylvania. I’ve always loved racing in PA. The fans treat me like gold and have always welcomed me with open arms. To finally have the opportunity to be a part of the Bob Weikert Memorial is really special..such a great family with a rich racing family tree. We’re ready to put up some good results.”
Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2022 campaign with a four-day road trip through the Keystone State. Potentially, the team will participate in four events over the holiday weekend kicking off with a $5,000 battle at Selinsgrove Speedway on Thursday, May 26. Brown’s schedule will continue with the $10,000-to-win Randy Wolfe Tribute at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, May 27, followed by the two-day Bob Weikert Memorial ($10,000 and $29,000) at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, May 28-29.
