Business As Usual for Cody Bova
Continues Track Championship Hunt at Mercer Raceway Park

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

Struthers, Ohio (July 30th, 2015) – Cody Bova’s Outlaw Sprint Warriors track championship chase at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania will continue this Saturday night with another round of “Saturday Night Live!” action. The Struthers, Ohio native, who has three Outlaw Sprint Warriors (305ci) main event victories in 2015 at the Mercer oval, will enter the weekend second in the updated championship standings. Bova is currently 17 points behind Outlaw Sprint Warriors point leader, George Hobaugh.

“We didn’t have the finish we needed last Saturday at Mercer” explained Bova, “We finished 8th during the feature and that hurt us in some respect. The point race is close and we don’t have many shows left on the regular season schedule at Mercer. We’ll need to take advantage of the month of August and work for solid finishes.”

Cody “Bonzai” Bova earned his most recent victory at Mercer Raceway Park back on Saturday, July 18th. The driver of the Bova Racing, J.S. Bova Excavating, AIMI Product Imagining, LLC., Richardson Tree Service, BC Contracting, J.S. Paris Excavating, #20B will work for win number four this Saturday, August 1st, and potentially reclaim control of the track championship standings. Including the August 1st program, there are three “Saturday Night Live!” events left on the “MRP” schedule. A 2015 Mercer Raceway Park track title would be a career-first for Cody Bova.

Before making his return to Mercer Raceway Park, Cody Bova will make a Friday night visit to the Thunder Mountain Speedway near Brookville, Pennsylvania. Bova will sit back behind the wheel of the Skip Dougherty Racing “27” this Friday night, July 31st. The Skip Dougherty/Cody Bova duo own one victory at Thunder Mountain Speedway in 2015, which automatically qualified the team for the final  championship chase.

“I just want to thank Skip Dougherty again for this opportunity” said Bova, “The opportunity to drive for someone else is really special. (Skip Dougherty) believes in my ability and we’ve been strong. Getting as much seat time as possible is important and it will allow me to gain extra experience. Hopefully I can get Skip one more win before the season ends.”
