SANDUSKY, Ohio (May 8, 2023) – After what seemed to be a never ending stretch of poor weather that ultimately eradicated much of his early season campaign, Sandusky, Ohio’s Chris Andrews finally made it back to the track, this time visiting “The Track That Action Built,” Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, for its season opening program on Saturday, May 6.
Andrews’ extended weather break proved to do no harm, as the former two-time Attica Raceway Park track champion, and now the pilot of his very own Ohio Truck Sales/Fleet Capital No. 15C sprint car, finished fourth in his appearance at Fremont, commencing the non-stop, 30-lap contest from the exact same position.
Abrasive track conditions put progress at a premium, but Andrews was more than satisfied with his team’s eventual outcome, already looking ahead to another routine double in the Buckeye State.
“Feels great to finally get back to work. We weren’t sure if the weather was ever going to calm down,” Andrews stated. “I can’t thank this team enough for their hard work. To work into the top-five in just our third start is pretty impressive by any standards. We’ll do what we can to do it again this weekend when we return to Attica and Fremont.”
Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing will continue their 2023 campaign with an Attica Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) pair in northwest Ohio, first visiting Attica Raceway Park on Friday, May 12, followed by a stop at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, May 13.
Chris Andrews and Chris Andrews Racing would like to thank all of their marketing partners including Ohio Truck Sales and Fleet Capital.
