Colton Flinner Earns Top Ten Finish at Roaring Knob

Allison Park, PA (May 7th, 2014) – With Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway canceling its Saturday, May 3rd ‘Action Event’ program due to inclement weather conditions; Allison Park, Pennsylvania native Colton Flinner decided to make the near two-hour tow south to the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania for a regular racing program. It was Flinner’s first-career super late model start at the Fayette County oval; earning a top-ten feature finish in the process.
Colton Flinner initiated his first Roaring Knob ‘super’ start by earning a win during his respective heat race. The former two-time Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway crate late model track champion would go on to finish ninth (9th), officially, during the super late model main event. Billy Holbert was the May 3rd feature winner.
Flinner, who pilots the Craiger Race Engines, American Framers, VOX Energy, A.W. Beattie Career Center, Bellisarios Lounge, Randig Towing, Clean Impression by Michelle, no. 75 super late model, will continue his 2014 campaign this Saturday evening, May 10th at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. A regular ‘Action Event’ is on the agenda at ‘P.P.M.S.’ for Saturday night; including another special appearance the three-quarter scale late models. Colton Flinner will enter the ‘P.P.M.S.’ gates on Saturday evening fourth (4th) in the current super late model track standings; trailing point leader, John Mollick, by twenty-two (22) markers. The Allison Park, Pennsylvania native will pilot a three-quarter scale late model on Saturday evening, as well.
This Saturday’s program at ‘P.P.M.S.’ will feature another ‘Action Event;’ complete with five (5) weekly divisions including the Diehl of Robinson Super Late Models.
